Mighty Doulas Are Community
A Mighty Doula is a full spectrum support system that centers whole person care & wellness. Our diverse care team fosters safe and inclusive approaches to meeting communities where they are as a life cycle companion offering consent-driven guidance through advocacy and empowerment. This allows space for human error and a little bit of madness. We walk with you towards joy, safety, and belonging-- no matter the season.

Pregnant Youth Full Spectrum Abortion, Miscarriage, or Release Doula
-
We are trained educators that believe in bodily autonomy and allowing everyone to make decisions over their own bodies.
At Mighty, we also believe that if you are choosing an abortion you deserve the same care as those who choose birth. We offer abortion doula services for the same community members we offer birth services.
Our Abortion Doulas are not religiously affiliated, we do not believe in changing our community member's minds.
We believe that we should provide education to our community members so that they can make informed decisions based off of their own situations and wants for their futures.
-
There are many reasons an individual might choose to end a pregnancy. An abortion or release doula facilitates a consent-driven care plan, centering the person receiving care. This doesn’t have to be formal, but it should be grounding & affirming. We help you decide how you would like to receive care by offering information, resources, and choices. We help you understand your rights and identify or discuss any barriers. We cater to your comfort level & privacy, organize aftercare (this could mean rides, meals, medication pick-up, company, or even counseling). Remember that the “right choice,” is your choice.
We meet you where you are at, whether that's simply identifying resources, making the appointment, or walking with you throughout the process.
-
Residents of California.
Medi-cal eligible or already Medi-cal/medicaid insured families.
Those with a positive pregnancy confirmed by a lab or medically performed blood test.
Birthing Connections by Mighty Community Advocacy
-
We are also offering Birthing Connections every other month at Mighty! This is a non structured, organic space for expecting parents and/or currently parenting community members to participate in an activity or sit and chat with each other. Some Birthing Connections spaces will offer practicing partner prep opportunities, the opportunity to create a craft such as a birth/parenting vision board, meet a lactation consultant or just an invitation to share space! Children are welcome of course!
-
Since this is meant to be a non structured, organic space for expecting parents and/or currently parenting community members to connect with each other, there is no cost for attendance.

Pregnant Youth Full Spectrum Birth Doula
-
At Mighty, we sit with the pregnant parent through labor and the entire birthing process, offering them emotional and physical support during childbirth.
In our meetings with the pregnant person we go over childbirth, how it effects their body, and how to go through labor with minimal interventions with natural comfort measures. We set up parents for success by informing them of their rights throughout the pregnancy and childbirth process. Our doulas help with postpartum care, such as lactation, as well as with community building around the parent(s).
-
A birthing person can receive doula care through their insurance throughout their pregnancy and for up to one year postpartum.
Our doulas coordinate with the birthing person to help them identify their needs, concerns, and dreams for doula care. We then develop a care plan agreement. Typically, this includes prenatal, labor, birth aftercare, and postpartum sessions.
Exactly how to utilize your doula sessions is up to you!
-
Youth under the age of 26 (we accept agency referrals at any age).
